About Geng Swords
Geng is the family who make these hand crafted samurai swords. The Japanese samurai sword has long been recognized as
the best edged weapon in the world. This reputation is due to it's extreme
functionality as well as it's aesthetic value.
We forge both production swords and traditional swords. The
production swords are swords made for practice purpose, e.g. iaido and tameshigiri. Geng
also creates true hand crafted Japanese swords in the traditional method. We are
now working on our 4th generations swords, It has always been enjoyable making
new products. It is our love and passion that keeps us creating new quality
stuff!
We
own our own forge and design our own swords. All our swords are
crafted and polished by hands, doesn't matter it's production
line or traditional forge. The production
swords have good balance like our mono steel and clay tempered mono steel
swords. They performs really well for iaido and tameshigiri cutting practice. Please check our gallery
page for photos and videos.
We also create sword individually. The high end traditional forged
blade shows great level skills
which are unique from Geng. We all know the making of a quality sword is a technical and labor intensive
process. The forging is unique, we go extra steps compare to traditional
polishing to reveal the true characters and activities from each blade. You can
pick up a practice sword today quite easily, but not a
character sword with real aesthetic value. A sharp edge doesn't mean it's a
good sword. A good sword is like a mirror showing the good character of the
smith. You are having the time, skills and the soul of the smith rather than just the object! Please do check the current
traditional forged swords for sale.
At Gengswords we are trying our best to bring you the best swords
work at the best price. As I mentioned, we have a wide range in stock to suit
the market. We are honest and willing to improve. The craftsmanship of the swords is a dying
art and we are trying to keep it. After 20 years, I doubt you can find anything
like this created by bare hands.
If you have any enquiries or suggestions, please don't hesitate to
